Mozilla, has filed a petition against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in a federal court in Washington, D.C., due to its recent decision to overturn the 2015 Open Internet Order which was brought in during Obama’s tenure as President.
Companies now control the entire internet and there’s no way to stop them. The Federal Communications Commission voted on Thursday to eliminate its power to ensure net neutrality, effectively paving the way for internet providers to begin charging companies and consumers for faster internet access.
Net neutrality activists and some internet companies are out to “break the internet” today. The whole idea is to have as many people as possible flood social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and spam their thoughts about net neutrality.
