AMD: Raven Ridge doesn’t work under Windows 7

AMD is dropping the support for older operating systems like Windows XP, Vista and now Windows 7. You still could’t ‘cheat’ you way around this with other newer CPU’s because it was a driver ‘problem’ but this is now over.

Ryzen 5 2400G APU Memory Speed Analysis

Our friends from PC Perspective have run a battery of benchmarks on the new Ryzen 5 2400G APU to see which effect memory speeds have on the performance. From what I know , Ryzen is more sensitive to memory speeds than eg. Intel but what about when you throw a GPU into the mix that is utilizing the same memory pool? The difference in both synthetic and game benchmarks was nearly 11-15% for DDR4-2400 vs DDR4-3200.

Howto fix BSODs & File Corruption on Raven Ridge APU Systems

This guide addresses the issue with AMD Raven Ridge APUs (R3 2200G, R5 2400G) which also includes fixes for the “video_TDR_failure” blue screen of death (BSOD). Everything can be fixed – that is the good news, the bad news is that some things might need BIOS adjustments from the manufacturer to really solve the performance issue people reported to me or in the forums.

AMD Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G Reviews

Gaming in 1080p with an APU – not possible you say? – it is! AMD’s new Raven Ridge CPU is launching today in the form of the 2200G and 2400G CPUs. Raven Ridge is based on the Zen CPU and Vega GPU architectures. The new change in the GPU and CPU architecture allows delivering a very good 1080p gaming experience. The price for the 2400G is in stock for $170 right now and the 2200G street seems to be $100 which is totally okay in my opinion.
